This is one of the things I hate about the press/media, especially those who write about football and sports in general. As I am a die hard football fan I tend to normally read through articles relating to sports and football in particular.
So the one thing that pisses me off is how their views change after a single a match.I absolutely hate it. If you too read through football articles especially the ones in which the author expresses his views you will certainly understand what I am getting at.
For example take the recent Argentina-Germany match, well I am a Germany supporter and I must also add that I am not a big fan of Messi .If you saw the match then you would have noticed that Messi was marked very tightly and often double teamed by Podolski and Boateng, now it is obvious that due to such tight marking he was not as influential as in other games. It is obvious that Messi only plays well when the team around plays well. He isn't Maradona to dodge all 10 outfield players and score a goal.So the point that I am making is that the press should stop singling him out for Argentina's defeat, sorry! drubbing against Germany it wasn't because Messi was off form in that particular match it because the team did not play well and football's a team game.
